PSAC Urges Marcos Administration to Implement Minimum Information Security Standards

In a recent meeting with President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) highlighted the critical need for the Marcos administration to implement an executive order mandating Minimum Information Security Standards for Critical Information Infrastructure. The PSAC Digital Infrastructure sector emphasized the importance of enhancing the resilience of vital systems against potential cyber intrusions. This move aligns with the National Cybersecurity Plan, and the council has also called for the urgent certification of the proposed Cybersecurity Act and Anti-Mule Act, both currently pending in the Senate.

The PSAC's Digital Infrastructure sector underscored the necessity of establishing Minimum Information Security Standards for Critical Information Infrastructure.
